Artisan Contracting served as the general contractor for the build-out of The Loan Goat, an English pub-inspired hospitality concept located in Detroit. This project transformed an existing commercial space into a warm, traditional pub environment designed to reflect the character and comfort of a classic British-style neighborhood bar.

The scope of work included a full interior tenant build-out featuring custom bar fabrication, millwork, wood paneling, architectural finishes, flooring, lighting, and coordinated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. The design emphasized rich materials and layered textures, with a focus on creating an inviting atmosphere centered around the bar as the primary gathering point.

Artisan Contracting worked closely with the ownership team, designers, and specialty trades to execute a space that balances authenticity with modern hospitality performance. Attention was given to layout efficiency, guest flow, and operational functionality while maintaining the aesthetic details that define a traditional English pub experience.

The completed space, The Loan Goat, delivers a distinctive neighborhood destination within Detroit’s hospitality landscape, offering a comfortable, character-driven environment for food, drinks, and social gathering. The interior reflects a blend of old-world pub styling and contemporary construction quality, supporting both daily service and high-volume hospitality operations.
