Artisan Contracting served as the general contractor for the build-out of Mink Detroit, a modern oyster bar located in downtown Detroit. This hospitality project transformed an existing commercial space into a refined seafood-focused dining destination centered around raw bar service, elevated cuisine, and an intimate guest experience.

The scope of work included a full interior tenant build-out featuring custom raw bar construction, commercial kitchen installation, refrigeration and cold storage systems, millwork, tile and flooring, architectural lighting, and coordinated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Special attention was given to food-safe finishes, seafood display areas, and efficient kitchen workflow to support high-quality raw bar operations.

Working closely with the ownership team, design professionals, and specialty trades, Artisan Contracting helped deliver a space that balances clean, modern design with the operational demands of a high-volume oyster bar. Every detail was carefully executed to support both front-of-house guest experience and back-of-house efficiency, from the layout of the bar to the integration of refrigeration and service zones.
