Artisan Contracting served as the general contractor for The Monarch Club; a rooftop cocktail lounge located atop the historic Metropolitan Building in downtown Detroit. This hospitality project transformed an underutilized rooftop into a sophisticated destination offering panoramic skyline views while preserving the character of the historic structure below.

The project included a complete rooftop hospitality build-out featuring a custom bar, interior lounge, premium architectural finishes, lighting, flooring, millwork, and the integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Construction required careful coordination around structural limitations, weather exposure, and phased scheduling to ensure both safety and long-term performance.

Working closely with the ownership team, designers, and specialty trades, Artisan Contracting delivered a seamless indoor-outdoor environment designed for social gatherings, private events, and nightlife. Every detail was executed with a focus on craftsmanship, durability, and creating an elevated guest experience.

Today, The Monarch Club is recognized as one of Detroit's premier rooftop destinations, known for its handcrafted cocktails, elegant atmosphere, and sweeping city views.
