Artisan Contracting served as the general contractor for the build-out of Marrow, a butcher shop and restaurant located in Detroit's West Village neighborhood. This unique hospitality project transformed a neighborhood storefront into a thoughtfully designed destination that combines a full-service restaurant with an in-house butcher shop and retail market.

The project included a complete interior tenant build-out featuring a commercial kitchen, butcher preparation and display areas, custom service counters, refrigeration systems, flooring, lighting, millwork, tile, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) coordination. Construction focused on meeting food safety standards while maximizing workflow efficiency for both restaurant and retail operations.

Working closely with the ownership team, designers, and specialty vendors, Artisan Contracting delivered a functional, inviting space that supports seamless movement between food preparation, customer service, and dining areas. Every detail was carefully coordinated to balance durability, craftsmanship, and an exceptional guest experience.

Today, Marrow is recognized as one of Detroit's premier culinary destinations, celebrated for its whole-animal butchery, seasonal menu, and welcoming atmosphere. This project showcases Artisan Contracting's expertise in restaurant construction, specialty food retail build-outs, commercial kitchen installations, and hospitality tenant improvements throughout Metro Detroit.
