Artisan Contracting served as the general contractor for the build-out of Lady of the House, an Irish-inspired, chef-driven restaurant located in Detroit's historic Corktown neighborhood. This project transformed the former St. Cece's building into a refined dining destination centered around seasonal cuisine, elevated comfort food, and exceptional hospitality.

The project included a complete interior restaurant tenant build-out featuring a commercial kitchen, custom bar, dining room renovations, millwork, flooring, tile, lighting, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) coordination. Construction required carefully balancing the preservation of the building's historic character with the operational demands of a modern, chef-driven restaurant.

Working closely with the ownership team, culinary leadership, designers, and specialty trades, Artisan Contracting delivered a space that supports efficient kitchen operations while creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for guests. Every detail was thoughtfully coordinated to blend timeless architectural features with contemporary restaurant design.

Lady of the House became a celebrated addition to Detroit's dining scene, recognized for its thoughtfully crafted cuisine and welcoming interior.
