​Artisan Contracting served as the general contractor for the build-out of The Buhl Bar, an intimate cocktail lounge located within Detroit’s historic Buhl Building. The project transformed a portion of the iconic office tower into a modern hospitality destination while preserving the character and architectural significance of the historic space. The interior build-out included a custom bar, millwork, wood paneling, architectural finishes, flooring, lighting, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) coordination. Working within an active high-rise building required careful coordination with existing infrastructure, life-safety systems, and ongoing operations. The completed space blends historic charm with contemporary design, showcasing Artisan Contracting’s expertise in hospitality renovations, adaptive reuse, commercial tenant improvements, and historic building projects throughout Metro Detroit.
