The Grand Porter is a thoughtfully designed all-day café and bakery located in Southwest Detroit near Mexicantown, known for its elevated breakfast and lunch menu, house-made pastries, craft coffee, and warm neighborhood atmosphere. Housed within a beautifully restored 19th-century home and former storefront on Porter Street, the space blends historic Detroit character with modern hospitality and intentional design.

Artisan Contracting proudly served as the general contractor for The Grand Porter tenant build-out, helping transform the historic property into a welcoming, functional, and visually striking café environment. The project included the renovation and integration of two existing structures to support a high-end food service operation while preserving the charm and architectural integrity of the original building.
