Artisan Contracting served as the general contractor for the build-out of The Sweet Life of Tou & Mai, a boba tea café and Asian mini market located in Midtown Detroit and connected to the Sy Thai restaurant. This project transformed an existing commercial space into a unique destination that combines specialty beverages with a curated selection of Asian snacks, drinks, and pantry items.

The project included a complete interior tenant build-out featuring a custom boba tea service bar, commercial beverage equipment, retail shelving and display systems, refrigeration, millwork, flooring, tile, lighting, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) coordination. Working closely with ownership, designers, and specialty vendors, Artisan Contracting delivered a bright, modern space designed to support efficient café operations and an engaging retail experience. This project showcases Artisan Contracting’s expertise in café construction, retail tenant improvements, and hospitality-focused build-outs throughout Metro Detroit.
