Artisan Contracting completed a commercial tenant build-out for Village Parlor, a beauty salon located in Detroit’s West Village.

The project transformed a raw interior into a fully functional salon, including framing, drywall, flooring, lighting, plumbing coordination, and custom finishes. The space was designed to reflect the client’s vision of a modern, inclusive salon experience while supporting efficient daily operations.

Village Parlor was founded by Ryan Cotton, who returned to Michigan after over 15 years in New York City to open a destination salon serving clients across the state.

The result is a thoughtfully built, high-performing space that blends style, functionality, and long-term value.
